Fun story. I met Albert Jao at Domopalooza in Salt Lake City and afterwards he asked if I would be interested in presenting at Domopalooza Japan. Of course I said "Yes!" and we then started to brainstorm on what to show. At first, I thought Albert wanted me to do the same presentation, but he asked "Can you do something with AI?"

To be honest,  that was a bit of an intimidating request. I didn't want to be that person that showed AI tools that they didn't actually use. I said to myself "Well, we can use AI to show translations, but I wouldn't REALLY use that." "What if I used AI to show to write SQL? There's not enough of a story to tell with that".

Then, I thought about what would really be helpful to me and my clients. I noticed a lot of my clients had never touched key features like App Studio nor Workflows or maybe they did, but it was a long time ago. Furthermore, they didn't touch them because they weren't sure how to use them. From my experience, I knew I could use Domo's Activity Log to not only show me when was the last time someone did something in Domo, but also to join that to what they did by feature or chart type.

I knew I could get the ETL, but I was still confused on how to use AI. That's when I called Noah Finberg to the rescue. I told Noah my idea and vision and as he's a great partner to collaborate with, he had a brilliant idea of how to use AI. He said to me "We can use Domo GPT to show how features and charts would look and we can even translate everything into Japanese". My response "Wow, let's do it". Noah then recruited Emme Tuft on his team and she did a fantastic job of building out the vision.
